COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released the newest flu numbers at the end of last week and 22 deaths were added involving children.
Dr. Richelle Gonzalez stopped by News Leader 9 to give tips on spotting flu symptoms in children.
The symptoms of the flu in children include a fever between 102- 104 degrees.
The flu can last up until a week. Children should not receive Aspirin to treat flu symptoms.
Children should also drink a lot of fluids because they can get dehydrated quicker than adults.
If you have flu symptoms visit your doctor as soon as possible.
