COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Each year, AAA announces hotels and restaurants across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean that received the four or five Diamond Rating - and a Columbus restaurant made the cut.

Epic Restaurant received a four-star rating for 2018.

The AAA inspector noted the following about the restaurant in a review:

"Located on the ground level of a refurbished textile mill on the bank of Chattahoochee River, chef Jamie Keating’s eclectic restaurant is for those seeking to excite their palate and discover new tastes. The atmosphere is vibrant with an upscale feel. The tall booths are perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion or for a truly distinctive experience, ask about the chef’s table in the kitchen. The menu is exciting and while there are some staple dishes, it changes daily depending on market availability. Start off with a roasted beet salad, pan-seared Maryland blue crab cakes or mushroom ravioli. The main courses are diverse and include items such as butter-poached lobster, cedar plank salmon, bison rib-eye or espresso-rubbed venison loin. Supplement your meal with a cheese course or one of the homemade desserts. I found the beer-battered fried strawberries delicious."

Buckhead Steak and Wine, 11th and Bay, Maebella’s Italian Steakhouse, Meritage and the Wicked Hen received three-star Diamond ratings.
