Auburn City Council votes to change time for alcohol sales at restaurants

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Voting to change the time alcohol is sold in Auburn took place during a city council meeting Tuesday.

The council voted to change the alcohol sales time from noon to 10 a.m. for restaurants. The vote comes after several restaurants called for a change in time to help with business revenue.

The ordinance passed in a 6-3 vote.

Noon remains the time for stores to sell alcohol.
