Chamber of commerce to host local candidate forums in LaGrange ahead of primary election day

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce will host a series of candidate forums ahead of the upcoming primary election day.

The forums are scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. April 30 and May 1 at the Del'avant in downtown LaGrange.

On April 30, candidates for Troup County Commission Chairman and Board of Education District 7 will answer questions related to their races. On May 1, State Senator District 29 and Georgia House Representative District 133 candidates will share their views on issues that may impact the local community and state.

"The Chamber is proud to present these important forums that give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates on the issues that lie ahead," says George Bailey, 2018 Chamber Board Vice Chair for Public Policy. "I encourage voters to attend the forums and to then vote for their candidate of choice."
