West Point Police searching for armed robbery suspect

WEST POINT, GA (WTVM) – West Point Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect.

On April 20 around 11 a.m. police received a call to the Lotto Store located at 599 3rd Avenue in reference to an armed robbery.

The initial investigation revealed a male entered the store with a firearm and demanded money from the clerk.

The store clerk complied with this demand and the man then left this location in the direction of Alabama – Georgia Stateline on 4th Avenue, with an undetermined amount of currency.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8," medium build and was wearing tan in color pants, black shirt, and a black mask/hoodie.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous based on his use and display of the firearm during the armed robbery.
