COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - There is little better than having an opportunity to give back and have fun with the people you help.
Jerome Dingle, with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Chattahoochee Valley, stopped by News Leader 9 to share about their organization and a fundraiser they are holding.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationwide mentoring program that pairs those who want to give back to their community with those from stereotypically single-parent homes and gives them the opportunity to expose themselves to other things.
They are holding their 10th annual 'Bowl for Kids' Sake' event with the intent to raise money to funnel back into the program to fund other events.
The event also gives them the opportunity to bond and have a good time.
The event will be held at Stars and Strikes in Columbus from 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
