COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Candidates running for a spot on the Muscogee County School Board were invited to speak at an open forum Monday evening.
It was hosted by the Southern Anti-racism Network. Each candidate in attendance was asked their stance on school safety, the academic achievement gap, student arrests and more. The audience got the chance to ask questions as well.
The forum took place at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road.
There are 11 people running for school board seats.
