Auburn police arrest suspect for burglary, criminal use of mace

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

Police arrested a burglary suspect in Auburn Wednesday.

Stanley Davis Jr., 22, from Union Springs, Alabama is charged with second-degree burglary and criminal use of defense spray.

Officers responded to a burglary that had been interrupted by a resident around 7 a.m. in the 300 block of Lee Road 10. During the confrontation with the resident, Davis reportedly sprayed the individual with mace (defensive spray) and fled the home.

Police located him in the area.

After an investigation into the incident, Davis was developed as a suspect and positively identified as the person responsible for the incident.

No property was taken and no injuries were reported during the burglary.

Davis was transported to the Lee County Jail and is being held on an $8,000 bond.
