FIRST TO ALERT: Trading in morning fog for afternoon sunshine Friday. Details here.

Despite areas of dense fog Friday morning, the afternoon holds the promise of sunshine, which looks to stick around for the long haul into next week. Overall, high temperatures still look to run slightly below average through Sunday.

Though we'll be a few degrees warmer Friday and Saturday, a dry cold front looks to move through the Valley late Sunday, and usher in much drier and cooler air for a couple of mornings. But the brief cooldown doesn't stick around for a long!

A ridge of high pressure building across the Southeast next week will bring us an elongated stretch of warm and dry weather. High temperatures will climb to the mid if not upper 80s in some spots; sunshine dominates until our next potential rainmaker brings the chance for a few showers heading into next weekend.
