RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Kindred Hospice in Phenix City hosted a fundraising event for Russell County Relay for Life Friday.
The Homemade Lasagna Luncheon was held at the Central Activity Center. For $7, guests were treated to homemade lasagna, salad, garlic bread, homemade cake, and tea.
All profits from the event will be donated to Relay for Life which raises funds for cancer research, prevention, and support services.
"They need the money for research. They can't do the research if they don't have the money. So, everyone needs to donate," says Karen Montgomery with Kindred Hospice.
This year marks the second year the Homemade Lasagna Luncheon has taken place.
