Winston Rd. murder victim also a victim in Andrews Rd. triple shooting

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus police are investigating a Saturday night shooting leaving one man dead.

Police have confirmed that the victim was involved in another deadly shooting just weeks ago, again as a victim.

A little before 9:30 p.m. Apr. 28, police responded to Winston Rd. on reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found 43-year-old Darrell Boggans suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional where he later died.

Police have also confirmed that Boggans was also one of the three victims involved in the Easter Day shooting on Andrews Rd. Boggans suffered non-life- threatening injuries, but 24-year-old Alec Spenser died from a gunshot wound.

Police now have an arrest warrant out for 24-year-old Damion Collier in connection with the Andrews Road shooting.

They have made no connection between Collier and last night's shooting on Winston Rd. and so far, no suspect has been named.
