A much warmer and drier pattern takes over as we head into the first week of May. Monday kicks off abundant blue skies and plentiful sunshine, with many of us hitting 80 degrees by the afternoon. Each day this week will gradually run a little warmer before we potentially hit close to 90 by Thursday and Friday!
A ridge of high pressure building in over the Southeast will help reinforce this tranquil and toasty stretch of weather through the end of the work week. A few more clouds will enter the mix by Friday ahead of potential rain chances later in the weekend.
Though the upcoming weekend still looks to run on the warm side, more clouds take over prior to our next rainmaker bringing a chance of showers late Saturday into Sunday. Right now, rain and thunderstorm chances don't look overly impressive, but we'll continue to fine-tune that forecast for you over the next several days. Meanwhile, weather stays quiet with hints of summertime for the week ahead. At least it's not too humid yet!
