Junk removal business grand opening creates jobs for veterans

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - JDog Junk Removal is a professional hauling service creating jobs for military veterans in Columbus.

Today, they are bringing their services to Phenix City.

Their goal is to help anyone and everyone across the Chattahoochee Valley get rid of unwanted items, such as appliances, cars, old furniture, or whatever they can get their hands on.

This company is founded and operated by military veterans and their families with the goal to help other veterans get back to work and have some ownership in the business world.

"We try to recycle as much as possible and donate items to great non-profits organizations like Valley Rescue Mission where all the proceeds get put right back in the community and we try to reuse or repurpose at least 60% of the material we pick up," said Nicholas Bain, the owner of JDog Junk Removal Columbus.

JDog Junk Removal has locations across the U.S. but these Ft. Benning veterans are happy to be able to help people right here in the Valley.

They will host their grand opening ribbon cutting today at the Phenix City Amphitheater at 10 a.m.
