Columbus police chief shows appreciation to CPD employees during Public Service Recognition Week

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - This week is Public Service Recognition Week and the police chief in Columbus is showing his appreciation in a major way.

Each Columbus Police Department employee will be given four hours of compensatory time that can be used anytime between now and May 2019.

Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren stated the following in a note to all employees:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my personal gratitude and appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of all the Columbus Police Department personnel.
