Teen arrested for bringing weapon to a high school in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus police arrested a teen for bringing a weapon to school.

On Wednesday, May 9 around 8 a.m. an officer working for Jordan Vocational High School arrested a 17-year-old.

The teen was charged with carrying weapons within school safety zones at school functions or on school property and obstructing an officer's criminal investigation.

According to a police report, the student brought a lethal cutting instrument to school.
