St. Francis hosting free event to raise awareness of importance of mammography

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - St. Francis Hospital in Columbus is hosting a free event to raise awareness of the importance of mammography during the month of May and ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

'Mocktails, Manicures, and Mammograms" takes place Tuesday, May 22 in the St. Francis Butler Pavilion located at 2300 Manchester Expressway. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the breast center
  • Visit educational displays
  • Schedule or get a mammogram (limited slots will be available and will be provided based on insurance benefits)
  • Meet breast specialists and physicians
  • Have a manicure or just enjoy refreshments, along with our signature mocktail (a mixed drink without any alcohol)

There will also be physician lectures which will take attendees on a journey through the life of a breast cancer patient.
