A wet start for many of us Wednesday morning, but if you haven't seen rain today, there's still a decent chance of seeing some rumbles of thunder later this afternoon. The weak disturbance that developed in the Gulf of Mexico has moved closer to the Chattahoochee Valley today, bringing slightly better rain coverage.
Rain chances will remain at 50-70% through Thursday evening, with the best chance for thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening hours. With the nature of this system, periods of rain will be mixed with drier interludes under mostly cloudy skies. Any brief peeks of sunshine will bump temperatures up into the 80s—and it will certainly feel on the warm side, thanks to the humid air in place.
Rain chances go down a touch this weekend, but stay in the forecast through next week.
