Phenix City police release surveillance photos of fraud suspects

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Phenix City authorities need your help identifying a man and woman at the center of a fraud investigation.

Surveillance photos released May 15 show a pair of people who are suspected of cashing a large number of counterfeit checks at local banks.

Both suspects were seen depositing the checks while driving a black-colored car.

Anyone who recognizes the people in the photos is asked to call Phenix City police immediately.

    Columbus, GA (WTVM) - First responders are on the scene of a rollover crash on I-185 Southbound.  The Columbus Police Department confirmed there are multiple injuries. Traffic has reached a standstill, as emergency responders work to clear the road. First responders ask drivers to take a different route and avoid the area, if possible. News Leader 9 has crews en route to the scene of the crash; we will provide more details as they are made available.
