CSU students present Piedmont Columbus Regional with over $17K to benefit Children's Miracle Network

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus State University students presented a check for more than $17,000 to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital Thursday.

The hospital received the check for $17,501.68 to benefit the Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center.

"It's so heartwarming, especially when you see these kids that come to our event. They think they're at a college party and it's so cool. They don't even realize that it's a party for them and that we're celebrating their lives because they are miracles," said one CSU student.

The students raised the money through CougarThon, CSU's annual six-hour student dance-a-thon event that supports the Children's Miracle Network and Midtown Medical Center.
