COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

If you are not one of the thousands of people in Georgia who have already voted early, today is your last day to do so, otherwise, you will have to wait until election day, May 22.

Early voters only need their picture ID to cast a ballot. A Georgia ID and military or state driver’s licenses are all valid, but voters should make sure to check the expiration date.

Voters will need to make sure they are registered to vote before making that trip.

All requirements are listed on the Secretary of State website under the 'My Voter' page.

The City Services Center is the only place for early voting in Muscogee County.

This is all to give citizens the chance to decide the nominees for governor, statewide offices and state legislative races.

This is also a way to beat the crowd on election day.

Polls will open again on the big day, May 22, and runoff elections will be Tuesday, July 24.

Voting and polls will open at the City Services Center at 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
