Lee Co. Humane Society takes in more cats following hoarding situation in Opelika

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - The Lee County Humane Society continues to feel the weight of a hoarding case that brought dozens of cats into the shelter recently.

Earlier this month, the shelter took in more than 55 cats after the hoarding case was reported in Opelika.

Shelter officials say they'll now take in another 30 cats from the same hoarding situation.

During this influx, shelter organizers say they're in great need of donations and supplies.

If you'd like to help, you can drop off supplies at the shelter, located on Ware Drive in Auburn.
