Former pro baseball player is running for Georgia Lieutenant Governor

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- Former pro baseball player, Geoff Duncan is running to become Georgia's next Lieutenant Governor.

The candidate met with voters at Ruth Ann's restaurant Monday morning May 21.

"There are so many communities across Georgia that only have one choice and that's to send their kid to a failing school," Duncan said. We need to do better. I think we can start by driving more decisions back to the locals. I think we can modernize our funding technique, right? I mean, we have a 30-year-old funding model. I'd like to see us have more dollars follow the child and not the system."

One of the main platforms for Republican Geoff Duncan's campaign is education.
