COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A meeting was held Thursday regarding plans for the historic Claflin School in Columbus.
Friends of the Historic Claflin, a group in support of preserving the school, met and discussed the next phase in Claflin's restoration. One of the developers from the Oracle company mentioned that going back to the city council to give them an update on logistics is the next step.
The group also discussed the 150th anniversary of Claflin but will have a later conference call to discuss the plans of having a Claflin homecoming jubilee.
The meeting was held at the former Marshall Middle School.
