AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The Auburn Police Department has arrested and charged a woman in connection with a shooting.
21-year-old Jemilia Tyson was arrested on a felony warrant charging her with first-degree assault.
Officers responded to the reported assault and found the victim, a 21-year-old male, suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional where he underwent surgery and is currently in satisfactory condition.
An investigation determined that Tyson arrived at the victim's residence on Wrights Mill Rd. and broke the rear window of his car in retaliation for a previous altercation on S. College St. Tyson shot him after he confronted her.
Tyson turned herself in to police and was transported to the Lee County Jail where she is being held on a $50,000 bond.
