ATLANTA, GA (WTVM) - One of Georgia's top FBI agents has died following health complications tied to his role as a first responder on September 11, 2001.
Special Agent David LeValley passed away May 27 from cancer.
His diagnosis was tied to contaminates he inhaled at the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terror attacks.
Years later, he served as head of the Atlanta FBI office.
A viewing for Agent LeValley is scheduled for tomorrow, May 31. He'll be laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
