Thursday marks the beginning of transitioning toward lower rain chances in the extended forecast as we exchange May's wet pattern for a relatively drier start to June. Through Sunday, expect 30-40% coverage of showers and thunderstorms each afternoon during the heat of the day—as per usual for summertime.
Most of us should top out in the upper 80s Thursday, but 90s are a surefire guarantee Friday into the weekend, as more sunshine makes its way back into the sky. By next week, a distinct pattern change takes over, as the humid air of late moves out in exchange for a drier air mass.
Mornings next week will feel pleasant in the mid-upper 60s, with afternoons warm and mostly sunny. Rain chances lower significantly—early in the week, most of us may not even see a drop of rain!
