COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Twin Cedars Youth Family Services, Inc. has announced that they will unveil a new facility in downtown Columbus.

This new building on 3rd Ave. will provide one location for a variety of services to children and facilities in the community.

Twin Cedars is well-known for residential programs for girls, particularly girls ages 10-18 at the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home in North Columbus.

Throughout recent years, Twin Cedars has expanded and added community-based programs to serve children who have been traumatized, placed in foster care or need ongoing counseling services.

Their programs primarily focus on providing healing, stability, family support and advocacy to children.

The grand opening of the new building that will bring all their services together is free and open to the public.

The event will take place Friday, June 8 at 1225 3rd Ave. from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
