COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Humidity is on the rise as we head into the weekend, thanks to more moisture working its way back into the Chattahoochee Valley. Unfortunately, this increase in humidity means feels-like temperatures will turn a little more unbearable, as afternoon highs look to top out in the low 90s.
Rain chances finally return as well, with isolated coverage Friday giving way to a few more thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Rain chances increase to 40-50% next week as a more unsettled pattern takes over.
Overall, transitioning to more typical summertime weather for early June: highs near 90, running muggier, and the potential for scattered thunderstorms to develop with the heat of the day.
