COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An annual event was held at the Georgia Visitor Information Center in Columbus Friday to showcase different tourist destinations and attractions from around the state.
Georgia on My Mind Day allowed local communities and tourism partners to showcase their destinations to visitors and residents traveling to and through Georgia.
"I think it's great! I'm loving that there is so much going on. There's hotels, the sheriff's office, a barbeque restaurant... there's so much going on and there's a lot of opportunities. I think you find when you come to events like this.- It's important because we're learning more about what Georgia has to offer and the businesses in Georgia that need to help," said Ashley Rodgers, Ms. Georgia Watermelon 2018.
Groups and organizations from Columbus along with representatives from every corner of the state were at the visitor information center today.
