CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - A women's self-defense course is happening tonight, June 19, in Lanett.

The course will be the first of four classes offered to women hoping to learn more about how to protect themselves.

Those who want to attend will need to register with the Chambers Co. Sheriff's Office beforehand.

The course will cost $15 to attend and is happening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CST at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Phillips Rd. in Lanett.

There are no dates set for the three remaining classes.
