Train hits man walking on railroad tracks

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (AP) - Police in Georgia say a man is in the hospital after he was struck by a train while walking on a railroad track.

Warner Robins police spokeswoman Jennifer Parson tells The Telegraph of Macon that 36-year-old Edward Gough was conscious, standing and talking with officers before he was taken to a hospital Tuesday evening.

Parson says Gough was walking on tracks as the Norfolk Southern train approached and struck him.

Police are investigating the incident.
