Harris County wins Ga. LL state title in Major Softball

One team from District 8 claimed a Georgia Little League state championship on Wednesday, while another team put itself one win away from a title.

Harris County beat Dudley 4-3 to win the Major Softball title in a game played at Bartow County Little League. With the win, Harris County earns a spot in the Southeast Regional, which begins July 25 in Warner Robins.

The Northern All-Stars defeated Martinez-Evans 17-6 in four inning to earn a spot in the 9-10 Baseball state finals in Dudley. Northern will play on Friday night versus the winner of Thursday night’s elimination game between Martinez-Evans and Warner Robins American.

The news not so good from the Senior Baseball tournament at Harris County High School. Northern fell to Hart County 8-2, eliminating them from the tournament. Northern winds up third in state in Senior Baseball.

The Northern 11’s baseball team will play for the state title on Thursday night, taking on Smyrna Blue at 7:00 pm ET. The 11’s tournament is being hosted by Cartersville Little League.
