(WTVM) - Award watch lists will be released over the next two weeks starting Monday, and a Harris County native is on one of them.

Marshall ran for 1,146 yards and 17 touchdowns, and threw for 927 yards and 10 TD's in his first year as full-time starter for the Jackets in 2017. He'll start his senior year this fall.

Several SEC names join him on the preseason list. Alabama QB's Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa along with running back Damien Harris. Auburn's quarterback Jarrett Stidham also made it. Georgia is represented by QB Jake Fromm and running back D'Andre Swift.

Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield won it last year. They'll announce the winner in December.
