Columbus traffic stop ends in man arrested for trafficking nearly $5K of meth

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A traffic stop by the Columbus Police Department led to a man being arrested for trafficking methamphetamine.

48-year-old Raymond Delano Greer was pulled over for a suspended registration and no insurance after officers ran a check on his license plate Cherokee Ave. and Slade Dr.

Officers found 48.1 grams of methamphetamine, with a street value of $4,810, inside the vehicle.

Four glass pipes with residue, plastic baggies, a scale and spoons were also found.

Greer has been charged with possession of drug-related objects, trafficking methamphetamine, no automobile insurance and suspended registration.
