HARRIS COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - Harris County High School's athletic director and assistant principal passed away Thursday afternoon.
According to school officials, Danny Durham was jogging when he suffered an apparent heart attack.
Durham came to Harris County High in 2012 as a defensive coordinator. He became the athletic director and assistant principal four years ago.
Durham spent 12 years as a head football coach at Gordon Central, Franklin County, and Rabun County.
He was also the defensive line coach at Georgia Southern in 1990 and 1991.
Durham was a four-year letterman for the Eagles and a starting linebacker on their 1985 and 1986 national championship teams.
