UPDATE: Victims ID'ed in Auburn double homicide

UPDATE: 2 dead 1 injured after a shooting at a single apartment in Auburn

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Saturday, Aug. 18 at approximately 3:45 a.m. Auburn Police responded to the 800 block of N. Donahue Dr. in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located three individuals in a single apartment who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

36-year-old Dominique Oneil Key of Auburn was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lee County Coroner.

24-year-old Trenton Torbert of Tuskegee was transported to East Alabama Medical Center with life threating injuries. He died while in emergency surgery from complications of multiple gunshot wounds.

One female was transported to the emergency room for treatment of a minor injury.

Both deceased victims will be taken to the medical examiner's office of the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for examinations.

The incident remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division and is not believed to be a random shooting.
