COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The 25th annual Immunize Georgia Conference was held at the Columbus Georgia Convention and Trade Center on Friday.
The conference is one of the nation's largest state-run immunization conferences and featured speakers from the CDC, Emory, Immunization Action Coalition, and more.
"Our 25th annual Immunize Georgia Conference brings together partners from public health, and our healthcare community, pharmacists, and physicians to discuss the importance of immunizations in our population. What an important tool immunization is in the prevention of infectious diseases," said Cherry Drenzek, state epidemiologist with the Georgia Department of Public Health.
The conference brings together more than 400 private and public health professionals including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, students, and many more.
