A licensed acupuncturist developed the slippers in China. He calls them "Get Slim Slippers." He says the slippers use "magnet therapy, reflexology and the laws of gravity to stimulate the intestinal tract of the body through acupuncture and reflexology zones to encourage natural weight loss." Johnella Ellis says she lost weight wearing the shoes. "I started seeing results. I was amazed. It makes me feel good. When I put them on I feel lighter and straighter, "said Ellis. But the company admits that no scientific study or research has been done to prove the slippers work.
