Columbus Businesses Display Signs To Welcome Northern Back Home

The Northern Little League team was greeted Wednesday along the parade route by signs and billboards.  The entire trip down Veteran's Parkway made the players feel as if they were in a presidential motorcade.

Several businesses were thrilled to display words of congratulations to the team.  "We are so proud of the team for going and winning the world championship and we know they are coming right by our building to the Civic Center for the celebration," said Robert Watkins, Georgia Power.

Some Columbus residents even painted messages on their vehicles for the team.  "I am so proud of them, because they are great little boys," said Kristen Ensminger, Northern Fan.

Hundreds of signs and a motorcade to the civic center made Wednesday's ceremony a day Northern Little League team will never forget.
