Suspected Serial Shotgun Robber Nabbed

Columbus police have arrested a man they say robbed several local business with a shotgun.

Raphael Baldwin is charged with several counts of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

He's being held without bond at the Muscogee County jail.

Officers say Baldwin first tried to rob the Black Cat Super C store on Buena Vista Road.   They say he fired shots into a cooler, but didn't take anything.

He's also accused of trying to rob a station off North Lumpkin Road, and succeeded in robbing Foxes Cinema off Victory Drive.
