Shots Fired After Car Strikes Police, Crime Victim

Columbus police are looking for the man who tried to run over two of their own and another person Friday night.

It happened just before 8 PM at the intersection of 32nd Street and 5th Avenue.

Officers say they were responding to an assault call in the area. They were interviewing a victim when a maroon car ran into the police car, then hit the officers and the victim.

We're told there were only minor injuries.  Witnesses tell News Leader 9 officers fired shots at the car as it sped away.
