Three Auburn Homes Damaged In Fire

A fire Wednesday afternoon in Auburn caused thousands of dollars of damage to three homes. The fire started around 12:30 p.m. CST. The east wall of the house at 505 Green Street broke out in flames while two residents were inside.

The cause is still under investigation, but officials believe it began in an RV parked in a carport. Firefighters say nearby propane tanks caused the blaze to shoot across the yard, into some pine trees and into a neighbor's attic. A third home had some heat damage, but the fire was soon extinguished.

No one was injured, but a couple of animals died in the fire.
