Georgia Prekindergarten Program

Growing Room is proud to offer the free Georgia Prekindergarten program at all locations. This program is funded by the Georgia Lottery.

The program information and requirements are as follows:

* Child must be a resident of Georgia.

* Child must be 4 or 5 years old on September 1, 2002.

* Children who are 5 years old and have not attended the Georgia Pre-K program may also attend this program.

* The instructional day is from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This program is run on the Muscogee County school system schedule (180 days) and is free.

* Extended Day services are available at all Growing Room locations. The weekly fee for this service includes child care services anytime between 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It also includes child care services on the days the Georgia Prekindergarten program is closed and Growing Room is open, such as teacher planning days, Spring Break, and the holiday break in December.

Registration for the 2002-2003 school year will be held on Monday, March 25, 2002 at Growing Room Too (Bradley Park Drive location) at 8 a.m.  Get in line early for your choice of centers. Slots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
