Lee County Schools Fundraising For Enterprise

Students at Opelika Middle School wore blue and white Friday in honor of those killed at Enterprise High School. In addition to wearing Enterprise's school colors, students have been raising money to buy library books for the damaged school.

"We've been selling ribbons and paws. We've already sold over 600 ribbons and paws all together, and we've raised over $1,000," said Tanisha Porter, an eighth grade student at OMS.

Students have been selling the ribbons since Monday. Opelika High School has also been collecting money, and the Auburn High School softball team is collecting donations at its tournament this weekend. Smiths Station is hosting Enterprise in a soccer game Saturday, and donating items there.
