Moultrie, Georgia Residents Pray for Rain

A severe drought is affecting most of Georgia and Alabama.

Church members at the New Heritage Church in Moultrie, Georgia are literally looking to the heavens for help.

Just two months ago, most of the region was listed as extremely dry.  But with no rain in sight, extremely dry soon turned into an extreme drought.

Fields all over the south are turning to dust, threatening crops and small towns that depend on them.

Farmers in the area say their prayers are being answered.

Some rain has fallen this week. Churchgoers say that's even more reason to keep praying.
