Petco responds to allegations, that a store in Columbus treated two dogs without permission from the owner.
We told you earlier about Brian Coe and his two dogs, Simon and Winston. He says they were given a flea treatment even after he warned the store that the dogs were severely allergic to it.
But Petco says, that's not true. A statement released by their corporate office says services provided by their grooming salon were authorized in writing by the customer.
The statement goes on to say, the dogs were treated by a veteranarian at Petco's expense as a customer satisfaction gesture.
Brian Coe, says his dogs Simon and Winston were given a flea treatment at Petco in Columbus, even after he warned the store that the dogs were severely allergic to it.
They are doing fine now.
But Coe says the dogs suffered from skin burns and rashes as a result of the treatment.
He adds, "I've had sleepless nights over these dogs to keep them comfortable, to keep them from having to gnaw on themselves, scratch themselves, bite themselves down there. It's just put me through a miserable situation, because I love these dogs."
