ATLANTA - A $100,000 lottery win became the surprise catch of the day for a lucky Columbus man. William Todd Patterson snagged the prize playing the Georgia Lottery game Millionaire Super 7's.
Patterson, 26, says he'll use some of his winnings to buy a new boat.
"I've always wanted to get a bass boat, so I think that's what I'm going to do," he shared.
Millionaire Super 7's is a Georgia Lottery instant game with prizes ranging up to $1 million.
Patterson purchased his $100,000 winning ticket at Shopper Stop #0334, 106 Broad St., Cusseta. He scratched the ticket in a restaurant parking lot after stopping for dinner.
"I just took a deep breath," he said. "I was pretty excited. It felt wonderful."
Patterson, who works as a glass glazer and installer, said he will also pay bills.
