I am back!!! I have been extremely busy and have not been able to write a blog in quite a while. There is so much I want to share with you. I have been working out for the past two months and two weeks. I can honestly say I feel so much better and have a lot of energy. It has been an interesting two months because I have lost and gained weight. I have learned through my struggles that journaling your food is very beneficial. You basically hold yourself accountable if you write down everything you put in your mouth. This week, I have pledged to myself that I am going to stay on track. The holiday season is going to be tough for me because I love the food during this time of the year. I am making a promise to you and myself that I will lose weight and not gain during the holiday season. This week at North Columbus Athletic Club, they are weighing members to make the same pledge. They want to prove to people that you can maintain or even lose weight during the holiday season. Studies have shown that most people gain about 7 to 10 pounds during the holiday season.
As far as my weight loss is concerned, I have lost about 15 pounds and I have gained about 19 pounds of muscle. When I first began gaining muscle I was upset, but I have learned that muscle will help you in the long run. It will actually help you burn more calories and help lower your body fat percentage.
Last week, I went to the mall with some friends and we went in some stores that I dream to shop in one day. I know I can't wear anything in those stores at this point but maybe in two months or so. I told myself that I will keep working harder to get the weight off. The fight is going to be extremely tough right now, since it's the holiday season.
My goal is to lose 85 pounds. I have lost 15 pounds and I have 70 more pounds to go. I know I am going to get to my goal weight of 165 pounds. So today, I am pledging to get back on track and get moving.
