Woman arrested for Valley Teen's Murder, Other Suspect Still Missing

A Valley teen is behind bars, charged with murder. Tayler Ann Ogburn, 19, was arrested around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

She has been charged with capital murder during a first degree robbery.  Police have an arrest warrant for the same charge out for her accomplice, 21-year-old Martell James Wilkerson.

Valley Police Captain Mike Reynolds tells News Leader 9 Ogburn confessed to being involved in the murder of 17-year-old Terry McCullough the night before Halloween in Valley. McCullough was shot to death on North Street. This is the first murder in Valley in approximately six years.

Drugs were found at the scene, and police say Ogburn and Wilkerson went there with intent to rob McCullough.  However, Reynolds said they are still searching for him.

"During that robbery, McCullough was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the leg. Whether it was intentional or not, at this time we do not know until we speak with Mr. Wilkerson," said Reynolds.

Ogburn is being held at the Chambers County Detention Center without bond. Wilkerson does not have a permanent address, but is known to frequent the Valley-Lanett area.

Wilkerson is approximately 5'8", weighing around 172 pounds. If you know where he is, you are asked to contact the Valley Police Department at (334)756-5200.  You can also call the Valley Area Crime Stoppers at (334)756-8200, or (800)756-8282.
