Dismembered body found in Troup County

Troup County, GA  (WTVM) -  A gruesome discovery puzzles nearby residents.

Troup County Sheriff's Department say a passing motorist saw five different trash bags on the side of Stitcher Road. 

Investigators canvassed the area and found burned remains of a human body.

The body was apparently dismembered and placed in five different trash bags.

It's believed the remains once belonged to a woman. The body parts have been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
